The more material we lose, the less we have. The less we have, the more we win.

Again and again one had to abandon them or they were taken away. One should be ready to leave every day. I must die. Must I then die lamenting? I must be put in chains. Must I then also lament? I must go into exile. Does any man then hinder me from going with smiles and cheerfulness and contentment?

Wasting time on timing stuff is a good way to save time from being wasted on other pointless activities like writing, reading, and sleeping.

There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power or our will.
