Sonya, as a scientist, it's never just about the logistics of life. One must always be optimistic, or else you'll never discover or learn anything new. Though of course, you might also find that such a mentality should never be restricted to such an occupation as mine.

They're funny things, legacies are. They can make a person's good-doings extend beyond his or her lifetime, and burden everyone else around who's related to live up to or better it. But they're always very important to maintain to the best of one's ability because that's as close to immortality one can get.

I used to think that distance makes the heart grow fonder, but I guess it__ more so of a case-by-case thing when I look at it now. It especially doesn__ help when most of the time, when forced to reckon with the realities of things, you have your illusions occupying you.
