non-fiction

To believers, the bible is a holy book, to unbelievers, it is a story book.

My mother picked me up in her arms, touching my checks comforting my distress. I stared into her eyes and held her hair in my small hands, for the first time realizing what a moment in time meant. I touched her cheek and then looked away, knowing this was the truth to life, and there was nothing I could do about it. The truth that her death would one day occur made me realize that I never wanted her to leave my side. It was something I could not control, something no one could ever stop no matter how strong they were.

To write is to reveal oneself.When I write something, fiction or non-fiction, I do not expect you to accept what I write, nor to agree with what I propose.I expect you to spend at least a tenth of a second to think about it - may be not about the characters, nor about the piece, but at least about the idea.

Nonfiction that smells like fiction is neither.

When I label something as fiction, people say it__ true, and when I label something as non-fiction, people say it is made up. If something is not 100% true, then I label it as fiction. After all, there is no half of a lie, is there?

Fiction is entertaining. Nonfiction is epic.

Writing fiction is fun. Writing non-fiction is life-changing.

Everything bleeds into everything and fiction is just this funny desperate little attempt to staunch the bleeding.

There is no past and future for those who exist in the now. Live in the moment, today is the only reality.

Non fiction? Non fiction?! Listen, reality is what got me into this mess in the first place.

You ran to eat and to avoid being eaten; you ran to find a mate and impress her, and with her you ran off to start a new life together. You had to love running, or you wouldn't live to love anything else. And like everyhing else we ove--everything we sentimentally call our 'passions' and 'desires' it's really an encoded ancestral necessity. We were born to run; we were born because we run. We're all Running People, as the Tarahumara have always known.

I am Not, but the Universe is my Self.

A 21st century poet is a woman who can speak her mind and stand upright like a mountain with her convictions, but can adapt like water in an ever changing season without losing her genuine elements.

Om is the things, Om is the ingredient, Om is the container and the content of this universe.

I can be anything I want to be. Just wait and you will see. Only time will tell what I will be.

The best of fiction, as we know, of course, doesn't tell the truth; it tales the truth.
