The most valuable treasure God has entrusted a shepherd with, is his sheep. No sheep is perfect but if shepherd despises them or adopts a scornful outlook for them then he has already began his downward plunge into faith which if He does not repent instantly, may eventually find himself warring against God himself who is our Good Shepherd.

Watch out: the sheep in wolves clothes!

When Geoffrey was away, the goat often took himself off. He had soon got the goats at Granny__ cottage doing his bidding, and Nanny Ogg said once that she had seen what she called __hat devil goat_ sitting in the middle of a circle of feral goats up in the hills. She named him __he Mince of Darkness_ because of his small and twinkling hooves, and added, __ot that I don__ like him, stinky as he is. I__e always been one for the horns, as you might say. Goats is clever. Sheep ain__. No offence, my dear.

Money to me had always been merely something the sheep used to show each other how wonderful they were.

Most people are like sheep. Nice, harmless creatures who want nothing more than to be left alone so they can graze. But then of course there are wolves. Who want nothing more than to eat the sheep.But there__ a third kind of person. The sheepdog. Sheepdogs have fangs like wolves. But their instinct isn__ predation. It__ protection. All they want, what they live for, is to protect the flock.

Cell phones are certainly not necessary, and "but I'm from the digital age, this is what everyone in my generation is doing!" isn't a very good excuse for being hooked on a glowing screen 24/7. In the 1960's every teen of the times was tripping on acid and running off to find themselves in communes and love buses. It was a fad, there was no excuse for it and it passed, just like I think that this generation's "cell phones are necessary for socialization" fad will eventually pass. What will it bring afterwards? I don't even want to know, but I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that it isn't anything else digital.

A sheep in wolves clothing!

To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being.

We awaken by asking the right questions. We awaken when we see knowledge being spread that goes against our own personal experiences. We awaken when we see popular opinion being wrong but accepted as being right, and what is right being pushed as being wrong. We awaken by seeking answers in corners that are not popular. And we awaken by turning on the light inside when everything outside feels dark.

People who copy you will always be one step behind.

Love is dangerous because it makes you an individual. And the state and the church . . . they don__ want individuals, not at all. They don__ want human beings, they want sheep. They want people who only look like human beings but whose souls have been crushed so utterly, damaged so deeply, that it seems almost irreparable.

It is what it is because you let it be so.

If we had to earn our age by thinking for ourselves at least once a year, only a handful of people would reach adulthood.

A man when he is making up to anybody can be cordial and gallant and full of little attentions and altogether charming. But when a man is really in love he can't help looking like a sheep.

Most of the time, we see only what we want to see, or what others tell us to see, instead of really investigate to see what is really there. We embrace illusions only because we are presented with the illusion that they are embraced by the majority. When in truth, they only become popular because they are pounded at us by the media with such an intensity and high level of repetition that its mere force disguises lies and truths. And like obedient schoolchildren, we do not question their validity and swallow everything up like medicine. Why? Because since the earliest days of our youth, we have been conditioned to accept that the direction of the herd, and authority anywhere _ is always right.

Some people are not meant to live together, for they will destroy one another and annihilate themselves. Wolves and sheep cannot be put in the same place, for after eating the sheep, the wolves will starve to death.
