We all handle loss in our individual ways, grieve in all kinds of ways. We all go through feeling okay sometimes, but other times, we feel so bad we hurt ourselves or those around us.

In the conventional storyline, I__ supposed to be the one slaying dragons to save you, the princess in distress. So, you see, I feel odd being the rescued.

She learned early on, in her adopted country, that race was an easy excuse to stop awkward explanations. People hesitated to probe into such a sensitive matter.
