If you are allowing something to upset or anger you, try this: Before giving in to those negative emotions, try and think of one positive thing, one learning that you will gain, a single glimpse of something that you can use to build a positive future. Here__ a nudge to push you along: You own your mind. You choose to be either a victim or to take control.

Travel, for me, is a breathtaking experience. A humbling for the soul and the realization that we are all in this together.

Would you rather be a fish out of water or a fish afraid of water?The fish out of water will experience a short, exhilarating experience but will quickly die. The fish afraid of water will exist but not live.Either way, you__l eventually die.Choosing a path is rarely easy, but it's something we all ultimately do; whether by choice or as a spectator. Either way, water continues to flow. With or without you.

Ask questions. Seek answers, knowing you__l never have all of them. And that__ okay. Sometimes curiosity is its own reward.

In times of conflict, we__e all peers.

As a kid, snow served the useful purpose of closing schools. As an adult__t shuts down any activity a decent, suntanned person over the age of thirty-five enjoys. I don__ do snow forts, snowballs, snow angels, snowmen, snowmobiles, or snowshoes. I don__ like to walk in it, drive in it, ski on it, or sled on it. Other than that, snow is just ducky.

If you can't find the spirit of the holidays in your heart, you'll never find it under a tree.

Just as like finds like, love finds love. Embrace it. Be open and giving. Accept love with kindness, grace, and spirit.

Live life as an observer but not a spectator. Learn the rules, get in the game, break some rules. Live. Experience. There is no exhilaration to be achieved sitting on the bench.

We are leashed by societal norms, defined by our willingness to conform, but limited only by our imagination.
