Any form of art can be known only in deep silence, to be in silence is to be receptive - No sooner you become receptive, you become woman, it has nothing to do with gender, its a quality, which is why woman is epitome of Receptivity!

In paintings, music, poetry, architecture, we feel the elusive energy that moves through us and the air and the ground all the time, that usually disperses and turns chaotic in our busy-ness and distractedness and moodiness. Artists channel it, corral it, make it visible to the rest of us. The best works of art are like semaphores of our experience, signaling what we didn't know was true but do now.

Realized dreams often turn into nightmares.

When I create a masterpiece I feel alive! When my creation is revered I feel immortal.

Musicians do not get on stage without hearing the song singing inside of them. Poets do not write as if they are jotting down a sermon, they see everything in their subconscious before presenting it to the conscious, which they later turn to_ readable materials. Artist do not draw and paint without painting in dream states, trance, or see an art form that others do not see. Being creative does not calls for being any supernatural entity, but in creating with the entities inside of you.

There are 2 kinds of artists, essentially: those who want to make something popular, and those who want to make something dignified. But then there is still that rare hybrid case, and perhaps by that unintentional stroke of genius, in which one's work uncontrollably becomes both popular and dignified yet beyond its time.

I'd always had an ear for beauty, and maybe I'd had an eye for it as well, but until that day, I'd not recognized that the truth in great music could be found also in great art, that the heart could be lifted and the mind sharpened equally by both.

You know that I immerse myself in music, so to speak_ that I think about it all day long_ that I like experimenting_ studying_ reflecting.

Perhaps there was an unstoppable magic inherent in music and art.

We would go out and play these songs and people could interpret them however the hell they wanted.

I think sometimes in artwork or writing or music, you discover something that just needs to be created. It__ not even something that you want to create... You__e just pulled into it like an instrument. Like you__e part of a bigger plan.

The dance is the silent partner of music and participates in a division of labor: music presents a stylized version of man__ consciousness in action__he dance presents a stylized version of man__ body in action.

Maybe a good goal would be to just at least always try to create something good. Like something that is connected to love in some way. Like the [musical] equivalent of_you can make a decision to be kind. You can make a decision to greet people kindly and make jokes with people and connect.

With his night-cap and his night-shirt tatters,He botches up the loop-holes in the structure of the world.

Art is pain. And so is life.

You ask me to write you a poem,I pen you an empty ocean,You run away.You ask me who I am,I paint you a breaking sky,You weep in the rain.

When Coleridge tried to define beauty, he returned always to one deep thought; beauty, he said, is unity in variety! Science is nothing else than the search to discover unity in the wild variety of nature,__r, more exactly, in the variety of our experience. Poetry, painting, the arts are the same search, in Coleridge__ phrase, for unity in variety.

The connection between art and Christ is like the connection between sunlight and the sun. It is, in fact, the connection between Sonlight and the Son.
