It is better to experience sorrow than happiness.Many life lessons are learnt in moments of sorrow.

This is the man who will be my grandfather__he man who will be the man who was my grandfather. The tenses slur and slide under the pressure of collapsed time.

Of all the ways to lose a person, death is the kindest.

Death was a friend, and sleep was Death's brother.

Death has a life which kills everybody's life

Dying is more terrifying than actual death.

...the phone rang.When the phone rang so early in the morning, it oftentimes meant somebody was dead. An elderly person had passed in the night. A Friday night traffic fatality. The families of deceased would set about the task of notifying family and friends, and somewhere among the sad litany of phone calls, they dialed our number.

We are, as we die, who we most were in life...

Sometimes I think if I could do all the things that I stopped doing, meet all the friends that I left due to time, money and other unavoidable circumstances. Continue all my passions at least once. Then my life would be more justified than today. Then I could be finally at peace at the time I finally leave this world.

Every flower returns to sleep with the earth.

There ought to be at least as much common sense about living and dying as there is about going to the grocery store and buying a loaf of bread.
