You deserve respect and appreciation. A person who doesn't have respect for themselves will more than likely not give it to you. You have to set the standard for yourself by not allowing the insolence.

What is the difference between disrespect (avinay) and despise (viradhana)? Disrespect (avinay) means one shows lack of respect and to despise (viradhana) means one becomes an adversary (opponent).

Again, no disrespect intended, but she looked to me like a divorce that hadn't found a courtroom yet.

Sometimes, in rare occasions, when I see a man respects a woman, treats her like another valuable human being, uses a proper language when talking to her and does not consider her only as a sex-toy. The average adult hates being treated like a child, unless it suits them.

Where true dignity and real freedom are undermined, real self least exists!

Renunciation is dropping the fear, anger, respect, and disrespect but continuously radiating unconditional love for everyone.

If you do not respect your own wishes, no one else will. You will simply attract people who disrespect you as much as you do.

Disrespect is my biggest pet peeve.

I'm supportive of women, absolutely, and it's so gratifying to have girls come up and say, 'I'm really inspired by your guitar playing.' I mean no disrespect to the sisterhood, but musically I feel more drawn to things like Dirty Projectors, the National and Grizzly Bear.

I treat all women with the utmost respect both professionally and personally and would never do anything to disrespect them.

I believe in a lively disrespect for most forms of authority.

Never judge badly a rage of a very patient heart who had let go many repetitive offenses from insufferable bastards.

On the whole, we treat the Devil shamefully, and the worse we treat Him the more He laughs at us.

Disrespect for life is a direct reflection of violating the laws of the kingdom of love
