Self Hate: The deadliest 'dis-ease' experienced by wounded souls.

It was not only colored people who praised John, since they could not, John felt, in any case really know; but white people also said it, in fact had said it first and said it still. It was when John was five years old and in the first grade that he was first noticed; and since he was noticed by an eye altogether alien and impersonal, he began to perceive, in wild uneasiness, his individual existence.

What is it that makes us who we are and what we are? Is it only our blood, the color of our hair, our skin, and our eyes? Or is it believing in what we believe and living the way we live?

Those with unearned privileges often spin things as 'political correctness' to further silence those they wish to oppress.

My skin is beautiful but it also serves as a huge barrier for so many opportunities that I want to pursue in life.

I am living in world full of lost hope and discrimination. I am living a life in which social equality does not exist and I am not sure that it ever can, or if once upon a time it ever did.

In many ways, the title American is an oxymoron because one may look it on the outside but not feel it on the inside.

Sometimes, the reason that people don__ get along is because they feel that their role is to be selfish or submissive__ot understanding that American simply means understanding who we are so that we can help others do the same.

American can mean anything you want it to mean. It can mean that you live in America. It can mean that you are privileged. Being American can also mean that you are diverse. In many ways, the title American is an oxymoron because one may look it on the outside but not feel it on the inside.

It__ unfortunate really__ow everyone can live on the same soil yet not even know the first thing about their neighbors.

Differences simply act as a yarn of curiosity unraveling until we get to the other side.

Reality tries to disguise the fact that this society neglects to provide equal opportunity established by God and clarified in the Constitution. Whether equal opportunity is given to an individual or not, he/she still has the equal potential within him/herself to advance and obtain a greater level of success.

If origin defines race, then the entire human race is African.

Growing up I sometimes imagined that for Christ's return perhaps He would appear as 'Black Jesus' to white people and 'White Jesus' to black people just to screw with the racists.

If the surprise outcome of the recent UK referendum - on whether to leave or remain in the European Union - teaches us anything, it is that supposedly worthy displays of democracy in action can actually do more harm than good. Witness a nation now more divided; an intergenerational schism in the making; both a governing and opposition party torn to shreds from the inside; infinitely more complex issues raised than satisfactory solutions provided. It begs the question 'Was it really all worth it' ?

I do not believe that Caucasians of the western world are inherently evil. What I do believe is that the powerful subliminal effect of institutionalized racism in American_encouraged and empowered Caucasians to do evil and unimaginable things to people of all colors. ~Commander Jeff - Genesis
