Your Dreams

If you're disabled, and you're trying to achieve your dreams, accept the fact right now that you have to work 500 times more than the average bear next to you. Stop bucking for sympathy, put on your titanium legs, and run.

I think L.A.'s terrific. You fly an hour and a half and you're in the mountains in three feet of powder. I also think it's a much better city if you're working as an actor. If you're not working and you don't see your dreams coming true, there can be a lot of heartache.

When I give speeches at college, I don't tell stories, I talk about what it is to live your dreams and take the path less traveled.

Don't give up your dreams.

All the characters in my books are imagined, but all have a bit of who I am in them - much like the characters in your dreams are all formed by who you are.

I do write all the time about - you tell me what your dreams are. What are you chasing? It's not impossible. Name it.

You're supposed to be using your gifts and fulfilling your dreams, at every age.

If you choose not to pursue your dreams, you'll still be a part of a dream - only it will be someone else's.

Sometimes, you follow your dreams. I say to the young people, 'If you have a dream, chase it.'

That's another piece of advice: Don't go to college follow your dreams. Unless you're a doctor - then go to college.

I know it sounds corny, but when you follow your dreams, it happens. And if it's music, take it seriously.

Listen to the sounds of nature. Wishing you the best on your trek towards your dreams.

Talking about food is like talking about your dreams. Everyone has something to say. We all have to eat, it's just what we eat which differs. Some people eat for fuel and I feel bad for them.

You can't take anything personally in this business. Follow your dreams, but there is a lot of criticism. You have to brush it off. Everybody is looking for something different.

I have very specific advice for aspiring writers: go to New York. And if you can't go to New York, go to the place that represents New York to you, where the standards for writing are high, there are other people who share your dreams, and where you can talk, talk, talk about your interests.

At drama school, we were taught to write down your dreams and carry them around in your wallet with you, and they'll come true, but I didn't do that.

You can be out of slavery and have the right to vote, but unless you have access to capital, industry and technology, you can't fulfill your dreams.
