It is not that you give birth to a child that matters most. Rather, it is what you birth into them.

Birthing is never easy or without pain, be it a universe, a child, or a fresh start in life. Contraction precedes expansion. Darkness comes before dawn. Joy follows pain. This is the way of things.

This pain, this terrible seeing-through that is in me now. It wasn't necessary. It is all pain, and it buys nothing. Gives birth to nothing.All in vain. All wasted.The older the world becomes, the more obvious it is. The bomb and the tortures in Algeria and the starving babies in the Congo. It gets bigger and darker.More and more suffering for more and more. And more and more in vain.

What is life? Life is living in this moment, experiencing and experimenting but experience isn__ life. Life is reflecting and meditating but reflection isn__ life. Life is helping and guiding but philanthropy isn__ life. Life is eating and drinking but food isn__ life. Life is reading and dancing but art isn__ life. Life is kissing and pleasuring but sex isn__ life. Life is winning and losing but competition isn__ life. Life is loving and caring but love isn__ life. Life is birthing and nurturing but children aren__ life. Life is letting go and surrendering but death isn__ life. Life is all these things but all these things aren__ life. Life is always more.

My existence began the day you were created and was realized the day we met.
