And then there is this jewel with its many facets of wisdom. It__ not difficult to imagine the breadth and depth of this sentiment _ at least where astuteness and faith are an inseparable dynamic duo running rampant: __while God does listen, knowing what He knows about us, and how well we take disappointment, often He will find a way to save us all the heartache and trouble we unwittingly plead and beseech and continually pester him for; ever a loving, wise Father, He will just simply answer, __o,_ by default; by not answering, __es.

Mostly, people are looking for someone to listen to them. Someone willing to grant them time, to listen to their dramas and difficulties. This is what I call the __postolate of the ear,_ and it is important. Very important. I feel compelled to say to confessors: talk, listen with patience, and above all tell people that God loves them.

Many of us suffer because we think that if people don__ really love us, then we will have to live forever without love. But it__ not true. The greatest sense of love, which is available for us at all times, is God__ love.
