Human freedom brings with it the burden of choice and of its consequences. As humankind is akin to claim for its own special privilege a certain unique destiny not afforded with equal measure to other organisms, so must it further__f paradoxically so__ntertain the assumption that, in spite of this glorious determinism, there persists nonetheless a thread of free will__r, at the very least, some vague delusion thereof__oven seamlessly into the tapestry of collective experience. Of course, this conception that destiny is to be forged by one__ own hands more often engenders greater restriction than it does greater extension to the potential of human happiness.

At the different stages of recognition, reflection, and redress, practicing compassion provides potentially world-saving opportunities which otherwise likely would not exist.

Your potential exceeds your beliefs. Be courageous and chose the impossible.

I ran across an excerpt today (in English translation) of some dialogue/narration from the modern popular writer, Paulo Coelho in his book: Aleph.(Note: bracketed text is mine.)... 'I spoke to three scholars,' [the character says 'at last.'] ...two of them said that, after death, the [sic (misprint, fault of the publisher)] just go to Paradise. The third one, though, told me to consult some verses from the Koran. [end quote]' ...I can see that he's excited. [narrator]' ...Now I have many positive things to say about Coelho: He is respectable, inspiring as a man, a truth-seeker, and an appealing writer; but one should hesitate to call him a 'literary' writer based on this quote. A 'literary' author knows that a character's excitement should be 'shown' in his or her dialogue and not in the narrator's commentary on it. Advice for Coelho: Remove the 'I can see that he's excited' sentence and show his excitement in the phrasing of his quote.(Now, in defense of Coelho, I am firmly of the opinion, having myself written plenty of prose that is flawed, that a novelist should be forgiven for slipping here and there.)Lastly, it appears that a belief in reincarnation is of great interest to Mr. Coelho ... Just think! He is a man who has achieved, (as Leonard Cohen would call it), 'a remote human possibility.' He has won lots of fame and tons of money. And yet, how his preoccupation with reincarnation__one other than an interest in being born again as somebody else__uggests that he is not happy!

Human potential is the ability of a person or humanity to put their theoretical abilities into practice

There is far more spiritual potential within than most people realize. The potential is so great that to define it in words would be impossible.

We all know, intuitively, that if something is humanly possible, it is possible for ourselves.

When the brain__ potential is fully unleashed, there can be few if any limitations. Anyone who tells you otherwise isn__ up-to-date with the latest scientific findings on the brain and is exhibiting their ignorance. For the brain__ potential is the human potential_

We sacrifice our potential because we do not know that we are pure potential.

Accepting that a person will die and shucking off any aversion to this blunt thought awakens the mind to realize what is possible in a human life.
